Going through Bagmati state-level junior taekwondo

Kathmandu: The 2nd Junior Invitational Mayor’s Cup Taekwondo Championship organized by Jaishideval Youth Club will be held from Sunday. A total of 20 competitions will be held in Gyorogi and Poomsae, said club president Rajesh Prajapati at a press conference on Wednesday. Gyorogi’s men/women will face each other 8-8 in 16 events. There will be 4 men’s / women’s competitions for Poomsae.

Rajendra Manandhar, the coordinator of the publicity committee, said that 400 players from 20 teams, including two from the organizers, would participate in the competition. The main sponsor, Kathmandu Metropolitan City, will provide Rs 4 lakh for the competition. Apart from cash prizes, the estimated budget of the competition is Rs. 1.2 million.

The best male / female fighter will receive a cash prize of US १ 150. Likewise, a cash prize of US सय 100 will be given to the best male / female PUMSE player, the best male / female adjudicator, and the best coach. The awards will be sponsored by Sudhodhanman Ranjit and Rita Shrestha Ranjit, who has been living in the United States.

Similarly, the top three finishers in each event will be awarded cash prizes of Rs 2,000, Rs 1,500, and Rs 1,000, respectively. The prize money will be provided by Navin Shakya and Pranita Shrestha Shakya, who live in the United States. The games of the two-day competition will be held at the cover hall of the National Sports Council in Tripureshwor.
