China astronauts return after 90 days aboard the Space Station

A team of Chinese astronauts returned to the earth after spending a 90 day stay in the space station on Friday. It was china’s longest mission ever.

Liu Boming, Nie Haisheng, and Tang Hongbo landed on the Shenzhou-12 rocket just after 1:30 PM Thursday. State broadcaster CCTV captured footage of the spacecraft parachuting to land in the Gobi Desert where it was filled by helicopters and off-road vehicles. After landing a crew of technicians opened the capsule which was undamaged.

China is sending astronauts into space since 2003 and already has sent 14 till now. China is now the third country after the Soviet Union and the United States to do such a job on its own.
